Tutorial Guides: Entry #4c

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

So you wish to be a Wizard, Shaman, Vates or Warlock?

Well, to become a Spelluser, the procedure is actually very simple:

1. Talk to the guildmaster.
2. Speak to the person who will teach you about the kind of magic you'll be using.
3. Report back to the guildmaster, who will test your new-found knowledge with a short quiz.
4. Affirm that you are ready for job change. You must be absolutely naked for this step. If not, you'll be asked to strip before speaking to the guildmaster again.
5. Voila! You can shot pretty sparks from your fingers! >=3
6. Re-equip yourself and talk to the guildmaster for a small gift.

Note: For all prospective Spellusers, you must have 10 MAG in order to qualify for Job Change.

To make things simpler, I have stripped my characters before reporting, so that I can complete the Job Change in one smooth flow after the report. Whether you want to do the same or not is up to you =3.

Note: Remember to report back to Joker Bro after you're done changing your Job. In fact, the system will remind you again when you're leaving the Guild Palace or either Cathedral after your Job Change before teleporting you to DT. After your report, Joker Bro will gift you with Base Experience Enhancer 50 (Beginner) (経験値ふえ~る 50 (ビギナー)) and a Tiny's Secret Storage Technique (Beginner) (タイニー秘伝収納術(ビギナー)).

Tutorial Guides: Entry #4b

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

To change your Job, the procedure is actually very simple:

1. Talk to the guildmaster.
2. Take and complete the Job Change quest.
3. Report back to the guildmaster.
4. Strip! (no equipment allowed, not even pets)
5. Voila! You're now part of the club.
6. Re-equip yourself and talk to the guildmaster for a small gift.

... To this day, I still don't know why you must butt-naked to complete the Job Change. It's so... indecent and such ripe material for the fantasies of perverted ladies and gentlemen.

Anyway, this post will cover the Job Change quests for the Fighters: Swordsman, Fencer, Scout and Archer.

Note: For prospective Swordsmen, Fencers and Scouts, you must have 10 STR in order to qualify for Job Change. For Archers-to-be, the requirement is 10 INT instead.

To make things simpler, I have stripped my characters before reporting, so that I can complete the Job Change in one smooth flow after the report. Whether you want to do the same or not is up to you =3.

Note: Remember to report back to Joker Bro after you're done changing your Job. In fact, the system will remind you again when you're leaving the Guild Palace after your Job Change before teleporting you to DT. After your report, Joker Bro will gift you with Base Experience Enhancer 50 (Beginner) (経験値ふえ~る 50 (ビギナー)) and a Tiny's Secret Storage Technique (Beginner) (タイニー秘伝収納術(ビギナー)).

Tutorial Guides: Entry #4a

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

This post is for those who chose 転職するわけない! (I don't need to change my Job!) in the previous tutorial and are now doing the [自由人ぶらり旅] tutorial event.

As mentioned in the previous tutorial guide, you can still change your class if you change your mind after making your choice; in fact the other Job-Change tutorials will still be available even after you have completed this tutorial.

However, an important thing to take note is that if you change your job after completing this event, the Navi Rewards for both [自由人ぶらり旅] and whichever Job-Change you have gone for will not be available. The [自由人ぶらり旅] option will be replaced by the Job-Change event that you've completed and said event will be marked "Finished" (完了) instead, denying you the Navi Reward.

To go around this, you must claim the Navi Reward for this event before going for your Job-Change. You'll still lose the Navi Reward for the Job-Change event, but since the Navi Reward for this event and the Job-Change events are the same: 1 x Item Drop Enhancer (Beginner) (アイテムドロップふえーる(ビギナー)), this really doesn't matter anyhow.

If you have started on but not completed this event, and have decided to change your Job instead, then  good. Abandon this event and go straight for the Job-Change event. The penalty only applies if you complete both this and the Job-Change events, so you'll still receive the Navi Reward from the Job-Change event (the [自由人ぶらり旅] option will disappear along with the other Job-Change event options after you have changed your Job). As for the Book of the NEETS, it'll be returned to Joker Bro if you speak to him again after completing your Job-Change.

Now that I've gotten this disclaimer out of the way, let's continue with the walkthrough =3.

Tutorial Guides: Entry #3

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 2: 次の冒険に向かおう!
Tutorial 1 Part 4a:  自由人ぶらり旅
Tutorial 1 Part 4b:  Fighter Job Change Quests
Tutorial 1 Part 4c:  Spelluser Job Change Quests
Tutorial 1 Part 4d:  Backpacker Job Change Quests

Now that we have completed the basic tutorial, it's time we really start with the game.

ECO has thirteen Job Classes made up of:
  • four Fighters (Swordsman, Fencer, Scout & Archer);
  • four Spellusers (Wizard, Shaman, Vates & Warlock);
  • four Backpackers (Tatarabe, Farmer, Ranger & Merchant); and
  • the humble Novice.
Each Class (except for the Novice) currently has three Job tiers: 1st Job -> 2nd Job (2-1 Expert or 2-2 Technical) -> 3rd Job (Chronicle). To take up a Job or to move on to the next Job tier, the character must first undergo a Job-change quest.

In the "good old days", when ingame tutorials don't exist in ECO, doing the Job-change quest can be a pain, especially for Merchants. With the new tutorial, the Job-change quests remain more or less unchanged, but at least the player knows what to do and where to go now =3.

With all that said, this tutorial itself is not on Job-changes *thrown out of the window*.

Ahaha... Well, it's more like a lead-in to the Job-change quests. The aim is probably to give the new player an idea how Jobs are like in ECO and help her in the decision over which Job to take. Without further ado, let's carry on =3

A Fresh Start

Hi guys! Been so long since I last wrote here... orz

Following Trass and Esta's steps, I went to ECOjp Zinnia as well! It was hard to look at my lovely girls after the idECO server closing was announced, so I didn't do any kind of farewell party, or SS taking or video with them or anything...

Anyway, I think it's time to put them into a rest too. Poor girls experienced a lot of hardships, adventure, and fun together. They got a lot of fashion collection and their own styles, and have lived their tales well in idECO. They will never be same anymore if I were to recreate them in ECOjp, Klae is not herself without Fernia, Milla will not be able to move on without her husband.

And so, Odalune, my first girl in ECOjp, was born.

 Reunion with Revelation crews, so good to see you guys again T_T

So today I just went back for quite long hiatus due to internet line went out of order, since the event won't last long anymore, I went to complete it with Lazy-kun's help. /o/

 Odalune, wearing the Halloween dress set, next to Lazy-kun's Melon Pan :3

 I want more fashions....

And after that he took me for some GB at LT, went from lv26 to lv35, yay~ Gotta get the Shaman armor set later!

Alma Event Guide: White Familiar Alma

To be honest, this should have been done weeks ago... >_>

In any case, this is mainly meant to help players who can't read the wiki to do the White Familiar Alma event. That said, this is really a piece of cake. In fact, players who don't (or can't) read the story can easily finish this within an hour. Of course, I would recommend players who do understand Japanese to take their time going through every details of the event =3

As White Familiar's event will end with the maintenance on next Thursday (18 Oct 2012), I advise anyone who wish to attempt the event to start ASAP. Due to time constraints, I'll post a bare-bones guide first with instructions and little else more, and slowly fill the guide up with more details to the story and other details I found during the event. When I have the time, that is =_____=

Before we start, please be reminded that each AlmaMon event has two routes: Nekomata or Shugoma. I'm not too sure how your choices will affect the overall Alma story though.

Tutorial Guides: Entry #2

 Tutorial 1 Part 1: 最初の冒険!
Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由

We now continue on to the next tutorial [次の冒険に向かおう!]. Like the previous tutorial, this is the 2nd half of the Primula tutorial, with very minor changes.

Without further ado, let's carry on =3.

Last Memories

Er...Well, this has been ages since I last post, I suppose. Sorry for not posting much things till the last day of idECO :<

But forget that. Either way, I'm making this post/entry/anything it's called to tell parts of my memories and my journey's roads in ECO(no, not to just fill the blog, really! It's just for sharing, yeah) and well, also posting SS I took with freecam. I took them along with Frawn-kun one day before the closing(a.k.a. Deathlene, thanks a lot to him for wanting to come with me /o/). It'll be full of pics, so prepare for wall of pics, kay?

Before that, I did said "tell", but I'm just saying it in like...what? Few sentences maybe? I'm not good with this, after all, but just feel like sharing. The day I took SS and made this post is the last day, so I can't help it but sharing a bit, after not sharing almost anything at all here.

Okay, should we stop this nonsense, let's get started. You know every newbie first go to Tiny Island then Uptown after talking to Tita, not anywhere else. And you know, most newbie change job at Guild Palace. But not for Warlock and Vates, so you know where I go to.
Here, the White Church.

Well, I change job here, from Novice to Vates, and from Vates to Druid. Without the church I wouldn't be able to be a Vates at all, definitely. From here, I start my journey of being gb'd. Of course I won't tell every single detail of my journey to lvl102, the farthest level I can reach(due to no mood orz). Anyway these are the places I went to before:

 North Plateau, it's where I often stroll at.

 Northern Promenade, one of my favorite places.

 Momo Plains, I used to train my pets here.

Fareast City, from here I usually go to Enigma or Undead Castle
and Eastern Dungeon as well, but I rarely go there.

 UC(entrance part), I used to get lost even when I'm on the entrance.

 UC(Deeper part), this map needs Crest Paper to be able
to enter, but either way this is a nice place for grinding if you
know how to do so.

Morg City, definitely a place I visit a lot because we go to LT from here.

Light Tower(outside part), this is the place I go to, mostly for
grinding. There are many floors I used to go to, so many that I don't
want to bother talking one by one :<

Tonka City, I go here for many purpose, but mainly to be able
to go to Maimai Island.

Maimai Island, one of my favorite places because of the BGM.

Baobab Forest, I often grind here as well and later died after
meeting Mama.

Night Baobab Forest, it's a nice place but...dangerous.

Water Layer, my most favorite place. This place has awesome view
and also enjoyable(IMO) BGM.

Submarine Cave, this is where I often hunt Red Pearls with everyone,
mainly with AD(a.k.a. Klaethe).

ECO Town(Titania Beach to be precise), one of my favorite places
since it's just...so nice.

There's still many more places I went to, but I guess it'll be too many SS to put(I just prefer posting SS, it's my hobby to take SS anyway). So, to simply put, from Vates to Druid, and till now at lvl102, I went to those places, sometimes to grind, sometimes to relax. Of course I don't only go myself, sometimes I go with everyone, like how I often go to LT with everyone, Submarine Cave with AD, Ruins lvl70 with Kai-kun(a.k.a. Kaius), sitting at Acropolis South Bridge with Frawn-kun, and many more. There are few SS more to show a certain places' sight, too:

 I like those SS, honestly. The result is better than I thought after all o3o

Also some randomness:
LT from reaaaaaaaaallly faaaaar away(ya really).

We met Mama.

Chots of nonsense, even on the last day.

 Zoomed in Kuro's face o3o

...Er...Well, that's it for my random stuffs. I just hope, although we can't meet again in idECO, we can still talk with each other. No matter what, ECO and of course my beloved ring, Revelations, along with the ring members(and also my friends who aren't in ring) won't be forgotten by me. Oh, and, thank you for everything in idECO, I will really treasure everything we've done in my memory~

Lastly, I'm sorry if I did/said something that hurts you guys "orz

Tutorial Guides: Entry #1

Tutorial 1 Part 2:  次の冒険に向かおう!

Compared to what we have in IndoECO, the tutorials after SAGA 13 are now a lot more extensive. Not does it starts with an expanded version of the original Primula tutorial, it now also guides the player through Master-Disciple system, your first job change (with detailed instructions on what to do for your job change quest), your first (?) dungeon and the IRIS system. What's more, you will receive enough experience from just the tutorials alone to kick you from level 1 to around level 20++ as well as a quicker and cheaper way to get your first Airship.

The tutorials are split into two parts as shown below:

Tutorial 1:
  • 最初の冒険!
  • 次の冒険に向かおう!
  • 職業選択の自由
  • 自由人ぶらり旅 (for Perma-Novices) or [Insert Job Name]に転職しよう (for the other jobs)
  • 師弟とは?
Tutorial 2:
  • 初めての迷宮探索
  • 想いのちから
  • 収集好きの大商人
  • 不思議な双子
  • 飛空庭入手
For DEM characters, they only have the Master-Disciple (師弟とは?) Event in Tutorial 1. The DEM Tutorial (DEMチュートリアル) replaces the First Dungeon Exploration (初めての迷宮探索) Event, and they have their own version of the Power of Feelings (想いのちから) Event in Tutorial 2.

The tutorials themselves are pretty straightforward and most of the time the navi cursor helps to show the confused adventurer where to go and who to talk to. However, not everyone understands Nihongo as well as Lazy and at some point this might confound the player new to jpECO. So hopefully this series of tutorials to the Tutorials will help such players with their new starts and avoid the bad options which would cause them to miss the goodies.

Note: The last three events in Tutorial 2 (収集好きの大商人, 不思議な双子, 飛空庭入手) will provide you with almost all the materials needed to make your first Airship (the only thing you'll need to get yourself would be Timber (木材) and that's easy to get as well).

More importantly, to players who wish to get this free-and-easy-to-get Airship, I strongly advise you to complete all the Events in both tutorials leading up to the Wondrous Twins (不思議な双子) Event. There is an item which you can get from this Event that contains all the Airship Parts (except the Sails) in one easy-to-carry box, but there have been players who did not receive this during their run of the Event. The exact details are still being looked into, but it's commonly agreed that skipping any of the prior Events will cause you to miss the requirement (or flag) needed to trigger the Parts Box reward.

In short, make sure you do everything properly and you should be fine.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will start with the first tutorial, [最初の冒険!]. This is actually the first of the two original Primula tutorials that we have already seen in IndoECO, so most of us should be quite familiar with these. There are some changes though, most notablely the section involving Tiny Island, which you shall see shortly.
Note: As mentioned, DEM characters have a different start unlike Emils, Titanians and Dominions, so this tutorial will not apply for them.
Let's begin our adventure then!
First Time in Titania World
Today Hou invited me to go to the Garden of Oblivion. It's in Titania World, but to get to Tita World you need to beat Titania Dragon first. I haven't done that but thankfully I can just poss Hou (I wanted to beat Titagon together with you guys later orz).
ECOjp Saga 17 20 Part Download
http://www.mediafire.com/?nc01ar3kobl76
It's a 20 part download of about 125 MB parts. Yes, it's a lot, but it's up-to-date (if you download soon, that is) and the original client is 3.24 GB. The total size of this compressed version is 2.42 GB,  so it'll probably go a lot faster than downloading directly from the site.
Thank you, my children. Papa will never forget.
And thus, I collected enough ECO Medal to buy myself an Okashina Intro.
The sacrificed lives of 268 Mandra Carrots were not in vain.
I still can't believe I actually did this in a mere 2 days. 20jt to buy an intro in 2 days. The journey was full of sweat, tears, blood, and other unspeakable liquids, but it was worth it- /slapped
In the end, it's not that hard at all to get money here. The others sell their ECO Medal to a golem who buys them for 4jt each, but seeing the golems selling them for 7-8jt, I tried selling them myself and put a price above 4jt to get more profit, but still below those market prices to make sure it's sold.
I put 2 medals for 5.5jt at first, then went to sleep. When I woke up, they're all sold out. I was really surprised and proceeded to hunt for more sacrifices carrots. This time I tried selling it for 6jt. Higher than before, but still below the market price. And it worked. Not even half a day has passed, it's already sold out. I went to change the hair right away with ilu-chan =w=
Well, after this, I still have so many goals I need to complete one way or another at some point.
- Pepen Doll 5jt
- Pepen Pet 35jt
- Pepen House 50jt
- Pepen Arma 100jt
Yes, still such a long journey indeed. But for now, I feel really satisfied so I'm gonna take a break from farming for and take it easy for a while.
Speaking of ECOjp, this is the second time I've dedicated myself to an online game this much (the first one was when I played ECOid for the first time). ECO is really really fun and is my favorite online game of all time, but playing the Japanese server is much much more fun. There are lots of things to do (that we can never hope to experience before) and life is really easy here (in the terms of anything, money, exp, events, etc.) Well, the community is really limited for us since most of us can't speak Japanese, but there are quite a lot players from ECOid that I didn't feel lonely in the game at all.
This adventure is gonna be a lot more fun with you guys playing here together with me, so hurry and come over here soon ;w;
I want to explore Aile Ciel, Ancient Ark, and the newly implemented Infinite Corridor with you guys orz
Well, that's all for today I guess.
- Trass
New Beginnings in Zinnia
Hi everyone, it's WildPotato again.
Uh, as you can see, things are going okay over in jpECO. Lots of exciting new things happening, you know? It's to die for. Yep.
Some of you already know this, but I've started playing ECO over in Japan. I wanted to give Ningyou-chan a new life where she could walk proudly, without being called a failure or a usable doll. So now my goal is to get Ningyou-chan to level 108 and rebirth, the first goal I've made myself for ECO.
Please wish me luck ahahahaha (ノ=∇=)ノ彡 ┻━┻
Even though we don't have the luxury of being GBed anymore, leveling up in Japan is a lot easier. Jerico potions heal 150 HP/MP/SP, and are the best healing item you have as a newbie. Now that there are strict anti-GB party effects, you'll pretty much need to solo your way to 100 since everyone else is already 90+. But hopefully you guys can come to jpECO at around the same time so you can party together and have fun =w=
When you're a beginner, you can get lots of free grinding items in IM. You can get unlimited double exp, reset potions, increase weight/cap, and stat boosters. These only last until level 30, though, so you might want to take advantage of them while you can.
It's recommended that you grind in DW as a low-level since you get a lot of exp for killing weak monsters. Well, as you can see, that's currently what I'm doing. It's a lot easier to die here than in idECO since you aren't supposed to be dual clienting or macro-ing to give you an advantage, though some people insist on doing that even in jpECO, which is 9001 times easier to level up in than idECO. Thankfully though, there is no dying penalty, only a fame penalty according to Esta. And you get 3 fame per quest, anyway, so it's pretty much no penalty at all.
Also, it seems pretty easy to get money in jpECO if you're dedicated. Mandra Carrots sell for 50k each, but if you recycle 67 of them you can get an ECO medal, which you can 1) sell for 4jt or 2) use to get an old IM lottery. It's a bit sad though. Look at what Trass is doing:
"Papaaa? Where are we going?"
"We're going to a fun place together, don't worry."
"But why are we tied up, papa?"
"It's so none of you get lost. There are so many of you, we don't want anyone getting lost on the way, right? It'll be fine! Let's go~!"
"Yaaaay!"
*the carrots skip along happily with papa, thinking they're going on a picnic or something*
"Huh? Papa, what's this thing?"
"It's the Recycling Machine, the place we were going to! Here, let me show you."
He takes one of the carrots to the machine.
"H-huh? Papa, what are you doing?"
He puts the carrot in the machine.
"Papa? Papa? No, papa, stop it! I don't like this!"
"AAAA! PAPA! TAKE ME OUT PAPA! I'M SCARED!"
"NOOO! PAPA! STOP IT! STOP IT!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
You have received 2 recycling points.
 Also, bubus are worth 10jt to golems, so if you hunt bosses you might be able to make good money /shot
And I guess that's it. I'm planning on uploading the client in parts, so please join us soon~
ECO Artsing like a fresh sprout
MONEY
has been the goal of my recent artwork. I have gotten great things with MONEY.
Great, great things.
So some of you might already know this, but I've started a livestream where you can see me work on the commission by cc Genevie (our beloved Valentia/Canelle/Bella). There isn't really a set time where I draw, but even if you can't watch live you can see the past recordings.
Here it is:
http://www.livestream.com/studioserrival
I've also started a pixiv account, but it's empty except for the recent Furin artwork.
(Please forgive the google translate Japanese)
http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=4792104
I'm planning on entering the Rookie art contest hosted by pixiv, so I'd like to ask for your support when the time comes. Proceeding from the preliminary is based on view count and ratings (orz), so I'll be counting on viewers to spread the word and hopefully help me be one of the 5 foreigners selected to move to the final round.
And that's it for now. Thanks for reading! See you around~
Deathlene the Assassin, At Your Service
Greetings~
I have been around for quite long, but I haven't even introduced myself yet, have I? My IGN is Deathlene, but my ringmates call me with my handle name,  Frawn. The reason I played ECO was because a certain Pepen kept bugging me about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never played any MMO before this one, so I was excited to have some people I know to play it with. This is how Deathlene looks like in-game :
Deathlene on her way to 110 at Abyss, accompanied by Kuromatsu the Black Cat spirit.
This is late, but reaching lv110 deserve a mention, rite?
Especially after that long period of grindan /o/
So my first max level was achieved at 24th of May 2012. There was a DE week before this, which I got to lv108 from lv105.
Past lv105 it'sreally nice to kill the momons by myself. With DE and the DE week, it was a breeze to gain EXP and the higher my level is the more EXP I get from Abyss' monsters, yay.
I could remember the EXP rate because I speed up everything during the DE week, but when it's over, I get 50% per day at lv108, and 30% per day at lv109. Well, I didn't grind all day since it's still school days for me too @_@
 The chots after level up, because I couldn't capture the level up moment ;_;
Lv110 book, Dark Necronomicon. Hax MAG.
There was a mysterious occurrence a day before this too. I magically gained about 17% EXP while I was sleeping, when I logged on, my EXP bar was only 0.2% from lv110 :Y
Therefore to whoever kidnapped my Klae, thanks a lot. I'd love to reward you with a kiss if I could, but you never admit it was your doing.
 And yeah, I meant a kiss from Doga-chan
/shot
And I want to thank everyone from Revelations and OwNs for all laughs and supports. It's nice to have you guys around. I wouldn't even have the will to reach the max level without you guys :E
It's kinda sad we're getting less and less time hanging out together. The other day I went to grab pictures from my ECO Saga 8 folder and I noticed some now-missing people. Haha, it will be nice if we all can gather together again for a reunion, like that time during the Fireworks event xD Heck, I hope we all can play together again, but I guess it's hard to do now "orz
Being a lv110 means one less thing to do. And also means that I can use myself to GB people now. When I'm not busy, let's grind together again /o/
(I will be bringing another char too, of course /shot)
Monday, May 14, 2012
Finally
Bye bye Korean~ :3
Thank you for your support o/
Now I have no regrets should I have to go hiatus after the demon come calling on 15/05/12. *shot
Tuesday, May 8, 2012
So I've been fired up
To reach the max level.
Since there's no other things I'm interested to do at the moment.
Currently on 50% to lv106. Been doing a lot of grindan lately. Starting from GB-ing Helcia with Rucin's help to get Soul Sacrifice, which proven to be very important for my journey to lv110 \o/
With the upcoming DE week, here's hoping to reach that level soon.
After that I can move on to Fernia.
Then to either Milla or Helci.
Then- /shotdead
Easter Event, What Actually Happened in Game
I will not start another debating whether this event is good or not, but I want to share to all of you, the randomness (and silliness) made by ECO players through out Acronia during this Easter event, which is the only event that could even bring the dead (retired) players came back alive. Even though their return might only be temporary, after taking SS or their chars wearing Pabus and Glomant...
Anyway, I present to you, most commonly known by people cc kotak-kotak, who visited veil and mine (actually veil's) tent just to open eggs and left after putting a bunch of junks without saying nothing.
She wears pretty dress, do want
Unrequited love, left behind only with items that can never be able to heal my heart
Day two was just as crazy, I decided to look around the western part of the land and...
Apples everywhere
The southern part is just as crowded. But here's one cc who doesn't hunt for them eggs. As her signboard says, she's picking up stuffs left by people, like the normal Easter Eggs (or Silver ones if she's lucky).
I like you, cc, marry me donk
With that said. This event has caused me some conflicting emotions. I was happy because I thought this could be my chance to stock up more Pabii for preparation for Granpabii, but on the other hand I have friends who are against this event with all their might (well not really, they end up buying/looking for items too anyway). I couldn't be like Lazy-kun who could stay neutral and that's too bad.
