Tutorial Guides: Entry #1

Tutorial 1 Part 2:  次の冒険に向かおう!

Compared to what we have in IndoECO, the tutorials after SAGA 13 are now a lot more extensive. Not does it starts with an expanded version of the original Primula tutorial, it now also guides the player through Master-Disciple system, your first job change (with detailed instructions on what to do for your job change quest), your first (?) dungeon and the IRIS system. What's more, you will receive enough experience from just the tutorials alone to kick you from level 1 to around level 20++ as well as a quicker and cheaper way to get your first Airship.

The tutorials are split into two parts as shown below:

Tutorial 1:
  • 最初の冒険!
  • 次の冒険に向かおう!
  • 職業選択の自由
  • 自由人ぶらり旅 (for Perma-Novices) or [Insert Job Name]に転職しよう (for the other jobs)
  • 師弟とは?
Tutorial 2:
  • 初めての迷宮探索
  • 想いのちから
  • 収集好きの大商人
  • 不思議な双子
  • 飛空庭入手
For DEM characters, they only have the Master-Disciple (師弟とは?) Event in Tutorial 1. The DEM Tutorial (DEMチュートリアル) replaces the First Dungeon Exploration (初めての迷宮探索) Event, and they have their own version of the Power of Feelings (想いのちから) Event in Tutorial 2.

The tutorials themselves are pretty straightforward and most of the time the navi cursor helps to show the confused adventurer where to go and who to talk to. However, not everyone understands Nihongo as well as Lazy and at some point this might confound the player new to jpECO. So hopefully this series of tutorials to the Tutorials will help such players with their new starts and avoid the bad options which would cause them to miss the goodies.

Note: The last three events in Tutorial 2 (収集好きの大商人, 不思議な双子, 飛空庭入手) will provide you with almost all the materials needed to make your first Airship (the only thing you'll need to get yourself would be Timber (木材) and that's easy to get as well).

More importantly, to players who wish to get this free-and-easy-to-get Airship, I strongly advise you to complete all the Events in both tutorials leading up to the Wondrous Twins (不思議な双子) Event. There is an item which you can get from this Event that contains all the Airship Parts (except the Sails) in one easy-to-carry box, but there have been players who did not receive this during their run of the Event. The exact details are still being looked into, but it's commonly agreed that skipping any of the prior Events will cause you to miss the requirement (or flag) needed to trigger the Parts Box reward.

In short, make sure you do everything properly and you should be fine.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will start with the first tutorial, [最初の冒険!]. This is actually the first of the two original Primula tutorials that we have already seen in IndoECO, so most of us should be quite familiar with these. There are some changes though, most notablely the section involving Tiny Island, which you shall see shortly.
Note: As mentioned, DEM characters have a different start unlike Emils, Titanians and Dominions, so this tutorial will not apply for them.
Let's begin our adventure then!
ECOjp Saga 17 20 Part Download
http://www.mediafire.com/?nc01ar3kobl76
It's a 20 part download of about 125 MB parts. Yes, it's a lot, but it's up-to-date (if you download soon, that is) and the original client is 3.24 GB. The total size of this compressed version is 2.42 GB,  so it'll probably go a lot faster than downloading directly from the site.
Thank you, my children. Papa will never forget.
And thus, I collected enough ECO Medal to buy myself an Okashina Intro.
The sacrificed lives of 268 Mandra Carrots were not in vain.
I still can't believe I actually did this in a mere 2 days. 20jt to buy an intro in 2 days. The journey was full of sweat, tears, blood, and other unspeakable liquids, but it was worth it- /slapped
In the end, it's not that hard at all to get money here. The others sell their ECO Medal to a golem who buys them for 4jt each, but seeing the golems selling them for 7-8jt, I tried selling them myself and put a price above 4jt to get more profit, but still below those market prices to make sure it's sold.
I put 2 medals for 5.5jt at first, then went to sleep. When I woke up, they're all sold out. I was really surprised and proceeded to hunt for more sacrifices carrots. This time I tried selling it for 6jt. Higher than before, but still below the market price. And it worked. Not even half a day has passed, it's already sold out. I went to change the hair right away with ilu-chan =w=
Well, after this, I still have so many goals I need to complete one way or another at some point.
- Pepen Doll 5jt
- Pepen Pet 35jt
- Pepen House 50jt
- Pepen Arma 100jt
Yes, still such a long journey indeed. But for now, I feel really satisfied so I'm gonna take a break from farming for and take it easy for a while.
Speaking of ECOjp, this is the second time I've dedicated myself to an online game this much (the first one was when I played ECOid for the first time). ECO is really really fun and is my favorite online game of all time, but playing the Japanese server is much much more fun. There are lots of things to do (that we can never hope to experience before) and life is really easy here (in the terms of anything, money, exp, events, etc.) Well, the community is really limited for us since most of us can't speak Japanese, but there are quite a lot players from ECOid that I didn't feel lonely in the game at all.
This adventure is gonna be a lot more fun with you guys playing here together with me, so hurry and come over here soon ;w;
I want to explore Aile Ciel, Ancient Ark, and the newly implemented Infinite Corridor with you guys orz
Well, that's all for today I guess.
New Beginnings in Zinnia
Hi everyone, it's WildPotato again.
Uh, as you can see, things are going okay over in jpECO. Lots of exciting new things happening, you know? It's to die for. Yep.
Some of you already know this, but I've started playing ECO over in Japan. I wanted to give Ningyou-chan a new life where she could walk proudly, without being called a failure or a usable doll. So now my goal is to get Ningyou-chan to level 108 and rebirth, the first goal I've made myself for ECO.
Please wish me luck ahahahaha (ノ=∇=)ノ彡 ┻━┻
Even though we don't have the luxury of being GBed anymore, leveling up in Japan is a lot easier. Jerico potions heal 150 HP/MP/SP, and are the best healing item you have as a newbie. Now that there are strict anti-GB party effects, you'll pretty much need to solo your way to 100 since everyone else is already 90+. But hopefully you guys can come to jpECO at around the same time so you can party together and have fun =w=
When you're a beginner, you can get lots of free grinding items in IM. You can get unlimited double exp, reset potions, increase weight/cap, and stat boosters. These only last until level 30, though, so you might want to take advantage of them while you can.
It's recommended that you grind in DW as a low-level since you get a lot of exp for killing weak monsters. Well, as you can see, that's currently what I'm doing. It's a lot easier to die here than in idECO since you aren't supposed to be dual clienting or macro-ing to give you an advantage, though some people insist on doing that even in jpECO, which is 9001 times easier to level up in than idECO. Thankfully though, there is no dying penalty, only a fame penalty according to Esta. And you get 3 fame per quest, anyway, so it's pretty much no penalty at all.
Also, it seems pretty easy to get money in jpECO if you're dedicated. Mandra Carrots sell for 50k each, but if you recycle 67 of them you can get an ECO medal, which you can 1) sell for 4jt or 2) use to get an old IM lottery. It's a bit sad though. Look at what Trass is doing:
"Papaaa? Where are we going?"
"We're going to a fun place together, don't worry."
"But why are we tied up, papa?"
"It's so none of you get lost. There are so many of you, we don't want anyone getting lost on the way, right? It'll be fine! Let's go~!"
"Yaaaay!"
*the carrots skip along happily with papa, thinking they're going on a picnic or something*
"Huh? Papa, what's this thing?"
"It's the Recycling Machine, the place we were going to! Here, let me show you."
He takes one of the carrots to the machine.
"H-huh? Papa, what are you doing?"
He puts the carrot in the machine.
"Papa? Papa? No, papa, stop it! I don't like this!"
"AAAA! PAPA! TAKE ME OUT PAPA! I'M SCARED!"
"NOOO! PAPA! STOP IT! STOP IT!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
You have received 2 recycling points.
 Also, bubus are worth 10jt to golems, so if you hunt bosses you might be able to make good money /shot
And I guess that's it. I'm planning on uploading the client in parts, so please join us soon~
