Alma Event Guide: White Familiar Alma

To be honest, this should have been done weeks ago... >_>

In any case, this is mainly meant to help players who can't read the wiki to do the White Familiar Alma event. That said, this is really a piece of cake. In fact, players who don't (or can't) read the story can easily finish this within an hour. Of course, I would recommend players who do understand Japanese to take their time going through every details of the event =3

As White Familiar's event will end with the maintenance on next Thursday (18 Oct 2012), I advise anyone who wish to attempt the event to start ASAP. Due to time constraints, I'll post a bare-bones guide first with instructions and little else more, and slowly fill the guide up with more details to the story and other details I found during the event. When I have the time, that is =_____=

Before we start, please be reminded that each AlmaMon event has two routes: Nekomata or Shugoma. I'm not too sure how your choices will affect the overall Alma story though.

Step 1:

Talk to the Shugoma twins Kamia and Kanna; they are found at the fountain near Elina. They will ask if you would like to head on to Miss Amis' school:

Choose the 2nd choice: アミスの飛空庭にのぼる

Step 2:

At Miss Amis' airship, talk to the twins again:

You'll find yourself in the company of the Shugoma and Nekomata twins, the first five AlmaMons (Darkfeather, Bawoo, Shabotan, Loki and Balulu) as well as Purupuru (the Pururu). With two pairs of twins around, it's only natural that the girls start a discussion over twins, branching into families in general before the  conversation suddenly moves into the latest urban legend, much to Balulu and Kamia's dismay =3.

Mis Amis returns just as the horror story reaches its peak and finds Balulu in a curious position...

... and ask you what's the hot topic. You can choose to answer either:

1) Talking about families; or
2) Telling horror stories.

You're free to choose whichever option you like here. If you choose option #2 (as I did), you'll find that Miss Amis herself isn't fond of scary stories too...

Carry on talking. The twins (both pairs) and Darkfeather decide to check the legend out. You'll automatically leave the airship and return to Uptown at this point.

Step 3:

Talk to either Kamia-Kanna or Miruku (aka Kurumi), and a navi pointer will appear, showing you where to go next:

Step 4:

Follow the arrow to the north-eastern side of Uptown, where Lilian (aka Wakana) will be waiting for you. Talk to her. She'll ask if you'll like to set your save-point to the front of the Downtown Cafe:

Choose option #2 (セーブを変更してから行く) to do so. If you wish to leave your current save-point as it is, choose #3 (セーブを変更せず行く).

Step 5:

You'll be transported to what looks like a tunnel next. Go straight forward until the Girl in Blue comes up from behind and...

... gives you a fright.

Your chance for revenge comes quickly enough though, as the both you suddenly hears a mysterious voice:

The Girl gets nervous and you get your chance to frighten her back if you choose option #2後ろに何かあるの?

Hearing her screams, the others come running and finds:

Step 6:

Talk to the White Familiar/Girl in White (her name is not shown at this point):

She'll start talking but it turns out that her voice is too soft. Exasperated, Darkfeather runs up and commands encourages her to speak louder.

It turns out that this girl, the White Familiar Alma (or Shiro, as what Darkfeather calls her), is the cause of the urban legend. She has been trying to ask passer-bys about a flower which she had received from her "grandparents", a kind elderly couple who had taken her in as their own child. However, due to her shy nature, she was too timid and couldn't speak any louder than a whisper and ended up frightening the ones she had approached for help. It also turns out that she's been away from home for months (much to the shock of the ones present) because she was determined not to go back until she had learnt what she is looking for.

You, player, will be presented with two options on how to help her.

Note: This is where the event branches into the Shugoma or Nekomata route:

1) The Shugoma twins will suggest heading to the Great Library at Northern (which is based on the Ancient  Ark's lobby) to search for the answer she needs;

2) The Nekomata twins however suggest a imho more pragmatic approach: return home and ask her grandparents directly. They would be most happy to help their beloved child clear her doubts~

Choose:

  1. option #1 (図書館に行く) to take the Shugoma route, or
  2. option #2 (白い使い魔の家に行く) if you prefer the Nekomata route.

After you make your choice, turn back and leave the tunnel. You'll be sent back to Uptown together with Kamia, Kanna and Miruku. Talk to them and they'll ask if you'll like to head to where you've chose to go to:

If you're ready to go, choose option #2: いく

Step 7:

  • For option #1: 図書館に行く (Shugoma route):
You'll find yourself at the entrance of the Library, where the rest of the party will join you shortly. After going through an automated conversation with the "Person who looks like a Magic-user", the party splits up and search for the relevant book in this very large place.

Go to the central area and click on the Mountain of Books (書籍の山) near where Shiro is. From there, you'll find the book that you're looking for:

You'll be prompted whether to continue reading or not: Choose option #2: はい.

Once done, you may exit the Library via the entrance. It would be nice, though, if you could go speak with everyone before leaving =3.

  • For option #2: 白い使い魔の家に行く(Nekomata route)
You'll find yourself in a misty classroom along with the pair of twins and Darkfeather. Surprisingly, the Magic-user-like Person that you would have met in the Library is here as well. Talk to her. She will introduce herself as Allium (which is Latin for "onion"), someone who, like Shiro, is like a daughter to the old couple. She will then send you to a secret room.

In the secret room, you'll find two tomes to your left and a pile of books to your right. Click on the tome that's nearest to you. Like what happens in the Library, you'll be prompted whether to read on or not, so choose はい to continue.

Once you're done, leave the room to return to the classroom, and from there, exit to return to Uptown.

Step 8:

Return to the north-eastern side of Uptown and talk to Lilian to enter the tunnel again (you'll also be asked whether to set your save-point to the Cafe again).

Step 9:

Talk to Shiro. As the book gives two different meanings to the flower, you'll be prompted which might be the message that her grandparents had hoped to transmit to her:

Option #1: that they hope that she'll be able to have many friends.
Option #2: that she is the joy of their life(?).

The party except the Girl in Blue will then follow Shiro back to her home.

Step 10:

Talk to Shiro. For some reason though, her house is empty.

Suddenly Shiro will collapse and needs to absorb some mana from anyone in the group:

Just choose anyone from the list (the order from top to bottom is: you, Darkfeather, Kamia & Kanna, Lilian & Miruku), since Shiro is unable to receive any mana transfusion from the rest and ultimately you will still end up being the one to feed her.

After Shiro recovers, Darkfeather will suggest checking the grandparents' room for clues.

Step 11:

Click on the book in front of Shiro:

It turns out that her grandparents had passed away while she was away. However, they had left her a letter expressing their last words and hopes for her, including a recommendation to Miss Amis, who was their former student, and, at the end of the letter, how happy they were ever since she came into their lives, despite being a demon and all.

Overwhelmed with grief, Shiro starts to cry and you are asked how you wish to comfort her:

Just choose the option you like =3. This scene will close with Darkfeather telling Shiro to come with her, that she's also a student of Miss Amis and they can be together from now on, to which Shiro replies with a tearfully "Thank you".

Step 12:

You will be back in Uptown. Talk to Kamia & Kanna to go to Miss Amis' school:

You'll enter the airship with the twins (both pairs), Darkfeather and Shiro, the Girl in Blue as well as other AlmaMons who weren't around previously (Seahorse, Pepen, Salamander and Minnie). The other AlmaMons welcomes Shiro to the school, although the shy Familiar still feels a bit uneasy in a strange new environment. The Girl in Blue comforts her that Miss Amis is a good teacher and will take good care of her. Everyone then realises that they still don't know who this mysterious loli in blue is and ask her about her identity, a question she tries to evade awkwardly.

At this moment Miss Amis returns and the Girl in Blue goes, "Oh crap!" and transform back to her real form... Miss Amis' Purupuru. Everyone goes @___@.

The story ends with Miss Amis giving Shiro a warm welcome, finally setting her worries to ease. To thank you for your help, Shiro will offer you one of her spare head-laces. You can choose one out of five colours:

White ()

Black-White (黒白)

Red-Black (赤黒)

Pink (ピンク)

Light-Blue (水色)

Congratulations! You have completed the White Familiar Alma Event! =D After getting your head-lace, you'll still be in the airship, with only Miss Amis, Purupuru, the Tree of Bonds, the AlmaMon(s) whose event you have cleared so far and, depending on the route you chose, the Shugoma or Nekomata of the Event.

Once you're ready, leave the airship for Uptown. You'll find that the Nekomata twins have joined the Shugoma twins at the fountain, dressed in similiar clothing (this occurs to every Nekomata after you clear their respective Alma Events; they'll stand at the fountain with their partner Shugoma in the corresponding Heartmate forms). Talk to them and they will update you on Shiro's current life and then ask if you would like to swap 3 EX Event Tickets for a White Familiar Eyepatch. To do the exchange, choose the third option (EXイベントチケット交換する) from the following menu:

The White Familiar Eyepatch also comes in five colored versions:

  White ()

Black-White (黒白)

Red-Black (赤黒)

Pink (ピンク)

Light-Blue (水色)
