- "+200%" means 3 times your usual atk/matk.
- If used in possession, SS will affect the host.
- If used when you're HP is below the HP sacrifice for using the skill, you'll die. If the one you're possing has less HP than HP cost for the skill, the host will die. (Unconfirmed)
- The usage of this skill when the last SS hasn't worn off will renew the duration. Do not do this since regen is crucial in using this skill. And you can only regen when it wears off.
Usually I grind with ilu-chan for RH, Sacrifice for Zen and SE, and Ningyou for VR and MR. But once SS arrives, I think maybe it's better to let go of Sacrifice comepletely and trade her place with Pensuke for Aura, Divine, and Inc. INT, since defense is the most important part in surviving with SS.
Once I use SS, I need to watch for my MP usage. I can't just cast what I want.
And I think zen is really dangerous to use with SS (MP Cost x 2 T^T). And SE will be a problem too. (Fast cast = Fast MP usage). If the MP gets used that fast... and then MP runs out, SS still hasn't worn off... mobbed.........
Below is the calculation and strategy that I thought of about the usage of SS using Trass. You can use it for reference if you have a magic cabal o3o
HP: 2082

*The cast speed is a rough estimation of how much time needed to cast the skill using Trass' cspd without SE

If I use level 1 (MP30), I'll get +120% (higher than zen, zen is only +100%).

Until Next Regen: 36 seconds
Evil Soul -> MP35
MP Remaining: 1274
- Shadow Blast MP38
-> Can be casted 33 times (+zen, 16 times). Needs to hit one by one.
-> If skill usage is about 2s per cast, MP runs out in 66 seconds (+zen, 33 s).
-> Damage 400%; +Evil 780%; +SS 1716%
-> 1710% x 700 = 12012 damage (+zen, 24024)
- Shadow Void MP36
-> Can be casted 35 times (+zen, 17 times). Area 5x5.
-> If usage is 3s per cast (cast is longer, but can be casted from afar without needing much walking), MP runs out in 105 s (+zen, 51 s).
-> Damage 320%; +Evil 624%; +SS 1372%
-> 1372% x 700 = 9604 damage (+zen, 19208)
- Chaos Gate MP63
-> Can be casted 20 times (+zen, 10). Area 5x5, 6 hit.
-> If usage is 5s per cast (longer cast and cooldown). MP runs out in 100s (+zen, 50 s).
-> Damage 260% x 6; +Evil 507% x 6; +SS 1115% x 6
-> 1115% x 6 x 700 = 7805 damage x 6 (+zen nothing changes)
- Dark Blaze MP40
-> Casted 31 times (+zen, 15). Area 7x7.
-> If usage is 4s per cast (cast is like blast, but needs to walk to the target first), MP runs out in 124s (+zen, 60s).
-> Damage 400%; +Evil 780%; +SS 1716%
-> 1710% x 700 = 12012 damage (+zen, 24024)

-> Casted 19 times (+zen, 9 ). Area 5x5, 6 hit.
-> If usage is 5s per cast, MP runs out in 95s (+zen, 45s).
-> Damage 260% x 6; +Evil 507% x 6; +SS 1521% x 6
-> 1318% x 6 x 700 = 10647 damage x 6 (+zen, are you crazy?)
- Dark Blaze MP40
-> Casted 30 times (+zen 15). Area 7x7.
-> If usage is 4s per cast, MP runs out in 120s (+zen, 60s).
-> Damage 400%; +Evil 780%; +SS 2340%
-> 2340% x 700 = 16380 damage (+zen, 32760)

As you can see, the usage of zen is not advised even for lv1 SS. Without zen, we can hunt more safely since MP spending will be slower.
Now the point is, make sure the combination you choose is enough for the SS' duration. Don't let your MP run out before SS disappears, because it will be fatal.
- Every time SS wears off, make sure you get your MP and HP back to full health before casting the next SS
- Use the skill combination that will kill the enemies in one hit, for your own safety.
- DO NOT USE CHAOS WIDOW. It's really expensive. It has 0.5s cast and NO DELAY. While you can regen, it's a very fast and effective skill. With SS, it's very fast and consuming.
- If you can, bring a sorcerer with you for Salvation Aura. Either your slave or your friend. It'll help tremendously.
- In critical conditions like low HP and you still can't regen, leave map immediately.
- HIGHLY effective when used in possession for an AGI-build fighter who needs not to use any skill to kill the enemy. Ex: Claw type assassin. SS is atk and matk x 3. When combined with FH... =w=
For me, I think I'll use level 3 with Dark Blaze in A19.
I think this is all for now. I'll add more when I find out more.
To be honest, I'm quite uncomfortable about its side-effects.
ReplyDeleteImho, to safely use SS, 800CSPD, an Aura-Wiz and a fair amount of HP and Def/MDef is a must. The SS warlock must kill his target before they kill him, or stay alive long enough to complete the kill. A surekill-on-sight-or-run mentality is essential, especially with mobs that can petrify, slow, confuse, freeze or stun (the 5 banes of all frail characters).
My unworthy 2 cents.
And unfortunately, even with Sacrifice, it'll still be quite hard to 1-hit Dimensional Dungeons' monsters who have 5-digit HP, especially without Zen. For reference: http://ec.gamedb.info/wiki/MobDimension.html
ReplyDelete( '-'); isn't expecting to 1-hit dimensional mobs a bit too much? If we can't do that, we still have other party members(not alts) to help. Or we can be the one to deliver finishing blow.
ReplyDeleteIMO, I'd rather choose to leave blacksmith out, subtituted with a cabal with Soul Sacrifice, preferably the melee one. The rest are full support sorcerer (Solid Aura, INT raise & Divine Barrier) and Enchanter (Wind Aura, Fire Aura & Elemental Weapon). Supposedly with this formation, any speed-type fighter can be turned into a killing machine- with power of almighty auto :\
To regen HP, we can use potions or Life Absorb before reactivating Soul Sacrifice again.

ReplyDeleteIf anything, I can use 3x3 9 brands pattern with Zen and Soul Sacrifice. Without freeze, it usually deals 5-7k per hit to DEM, with SS it'll be 15-21k per hit. 15 x 9 = 135k
Anyway, I clearly remember well that Soul Sacrifice was △ in wiki jp. Now it's ☆!?

Yep, apparently it might be a bug, but when transforming into Bat form with Cabal's skill, you can use Absorb (or whatever it's called) to regain HP, even while under the effect of Recovery Block or even Soul Sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Absorb only drains HP from Human, Animal, Bird and Fish types of monsters. After all, trees or ghosts have no blood flowing in their body.
