Introducing me

Wassup guys /o/

Since this is my first post on Colorful Acronia, I ought introduce myself properly, the name's Rucio but feel free to call me Ruci, it's been over 4 months since I started ECOjp as a result of a kidnapping done on me, long history made short I started playing Emil Chronicle Online back in mid 2010 after watching my bro Kinni playing ECO in RunUp server, little did we know that we would end up playing in 3 different servers. o3o;

Though all the server migrating is wearing me out having to start all over again, somehow it's hard to quit ECO, I mean it's really fun to play ECO and that ECO is the first MMO I actually play and spend time with, it's really appealing, graphics never seem to get old despite it being a nearly 8 year old MMO.

I've have always picked the same class for 3 Ruci generations, the Fencer class. \o\

Now in ECO Japan, Rucio is a soon-to-be Lv110 Guardian, and below is a screenshot of him driving his car,

Rucio driving his toddler car

So far I have 4 characters in Zinnia server, including Rucio, his older twin sister Rucia, a cardinal now, Ina the Maestro and Gertrude, a Trader. I wanted to remake my other characters but time oh time...

Anyways, although it's a Japanese server, to be honest it didn't take me long to get used to the server, probably because I previously played Phantasy Star Online 2 before coming over to ECO, and I must say the Japanese are a very friendly lot.
(ノ・ω・) They wouldn't mind having foreigners around so long one do not cause trouble.

After coming over to JP server, I'm glad that my old buddy Yoshi has decided to play ECO with me, and along with my other buddies Ninz, Jun, Rene and my bro Kinni, sadly they've been very busy lately, but I hoped they can have the time to play with us again just like the good ol'days. \o\

Ok that's all for the introductions, hopefully I did not bore you with my story, good day everyone!

Short guides to new (to us) Ohanami events

As what the title says, this post will attempt to help folks with the new Ohanami events that were added in 2012 and 2013.

Before we start, I would recommend preparing the following items before you start:

- 10 Sakura Seeds (さくらの種)
- 70 Sakura Mochi (さくらもち)

For those totally new to ECO's Ohanami events, both items can be found off the Sakura Pururus, which are found in the following maps:

- Acronia Forest
- Fareast Street
- The Farm at Fareast Street
- East Cape
- Lake Utena

To attack them you must equip the Toy Gun and cork bullets rented/bought at the Shooting Gallery (射的屋)  in Fareast Street, 300G for 30 bullets.

With this in mind, let's move on to the actual guides~

A Little (late) Update

Due to some reason, all guides made by Lazy-kun had been taken down. But the blog will continue to serve as the place for the us to share the experiences while playing.

The ring has gotten few more members to join us, Rucin, Yoshi, Ninz, Jun, and Rene, whom were members of my previous ring as well back in ECOid, OwNs.

With more people in our side, we have more chance to get things done and have fun together, hopefully.

Tutorial Guides: Entry #4c

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

So you wish to be a Wizard, Shaman, Vates or Warlock?

Well, to become a Spelluser, the procedure is actually very simple:

1. Talk to the guildmaster.
2. Speak to the person who will teach you about the kind of magic you'll be using.
3. Report back to the guildmaster, who will test your new-found knowledge with a short quiz.
4. Affirm that you are ready for job change. You must be absolutely naked for this step. If not, you'll be asked to strip before speaking to the guildmaster again.
5. Voila! You can shot pretty sparks from your fingers! >=3
6. Re-equip yourself and talk to the guildmaster for a small gift.

Note: For all prospective Spellusers, you must have 10 MAG in order to qualify for Job Change.

To make things simpler, I have stripped my characters before reporting, so that I can complete the Job Change in one smooth flow after the report. Whether you want to do the same or not is up to you =3.

Note: Remember to report back to Joker Bro after you're done changing your Job. In fact, the system will remind you again when you're leaving the Guild Palace or either Cathedral after your Job Change before teleporting you to DT. After your report, Joker Bro will gift you with Base Experience Enhancer 50 (Beginner) (経験値ふえ~る 50 (ビギナー)) and a Tiny's Secret Storage Technique (Beginner) (タイニー秘伝収納術(ビギナー)).

Tutorial Guides: Entry #4b

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

To change your Job, the procedure is actually very simple:

1. Talk to the guildmaster.
2. Take and complete the Job Change quest.
3. Report back to the guildmaster.
4. Strip! (no equipment allowed, not even pets)
5. Voila! You're now part of the club.
6. Re-equip yourself and talk to the guildmaster for a small gift.

... To this day, I still don't know why you must butt-naked to complete the Job Change. It's so... indecent and such ripe material for the fantasies of perverted ladies and gentlemen.

Anyway, this post will cover the Job Change quests for the Fighters: Swordsman, Fencer, Scout and Archer.

Note: For prospective Swordsmen, Fencers and Scouts, you must have 10 STR in order to qualify for Job Change. For Archers-to-be, the requirement is 10 INT instead.

To make things simpler, I have stripped my characters before reporting, so that I can complete the Job Change in one smooth flow after the report. Whether you want to do the same or not is up to you =3.

Note: Remember to report back to Joker Bro after you're done changing your Job. In fact, the system will remind you again when you're leaving the Guild Palace after your Job Change before teleporting you to DT. After your report, Joker Bro will gift you with Base Experience Enhancer 50 (Beginner) (経験値ふえ~る 50 (ビギナー)) and a Tiny's Secret Storage Technique (Beginner) (タイニー秘伝収納術(ビギナー)).

Tutorial Guides: Entry #4a

⇐ Tutorial 1 Part 3: 職業選択の自由
Tutorial 1 Part 5: 師弟とは?

This post is for those who chose 転職するわけない! (I don't need to change my Job!) in the previous tutorial and are now doing the [自由人ぶらり旅] tutorial event.

As mentioned in the previous tutorial guide, you can still change your class if you change your mind after making your choice; in fact the other Job-Change tutorials will still be available even after you have completed this tutorial.

However, an important thing to take note is that if you change your job after completing this event, the Navi Rewards for both [自由人ぶらり旅] and whichever Job-Change you have gone for will not be available. The [自由人ぶらり旅] option will be replaced by the Job-Change event that you've completed and said event will be marked "Finished" (完了) instead, denying you the Navi Reward.

To go around this, you must claim the Navi Reward for this event before going for your Job-Change. You'll still lose the Navi Reward for the Job-Change event, but since the Navi Reward for this event and the Job-Change events are the same: 1 x Item Drop Enhancer (Beginner) (アイテムドロップふえーる(ビギナー)), this really doesn't matter anyhow.

If you have started on but not completed this event, and have decided to change your Job instead, then  good. Abandon this event and go straight for the Job-Change event. The penalty only applies if you complete both this and the Job-Change events, so you'll still receive the Navi Reward from the Job-Change event (the [自由人ぶらり旅] option will disappear along with the other Job-Change event options after you have changed your Job). As for the Book of the NEETS, it'll be returned to Joker Bro if you speak to him again after completing your Job-Change.

Now that I've gotten this disclaimer out of the way, let's continue with the walkthrough =3.
